“You can combine this with existing notification features like the ability to customize which messages you receive notifications for and set up different sounds for individual labels. So if you filter and label all the messages from your mom, you could set a ringtone to let you know you received a new mail from her and then quickly reply,” Gmail team noted in a blog post.
For users with Android devices with ICS and up, Google has included faster search capability in the app, which will also work when you are offline. For many of you who are still stuck with devices running on FroYo or Gingerbread, the Gmail app on your phones will just get performance improvements.

I couldn’t ayway to delete the mail from the notification. @Gaurav did you find that.
Also when this feature works only if you have one mail in box, with multiple mail this doesn’t applies.
