Gmail for Android receives update, brings series of improvements

Google has released a major update for Gmail app for Android. This update brings the ability to only sync priority inbox, custom alerts for specific labels and much more [full changelog below]. This update takes Gmail App to version 2.3.5.

Full changelog:

  • Save bandwidth and battery by only syncing priority mail
  • Use label notifications to mash up filters, labels, and ringtones
  • Remember ‘Show Pictures’ for senders
  • Turn off sticky message actions in landscape or all orientations
  • Better TalkBalk support for accessibility
  • Performance improvements

So how much of the internal memory is gmail taking after the update. While Google’s Apps are generally good, many of them just auto update by default and do not support Apps2SD hence take up large chunks of internal memory. Most Android phones in the market have limited internal memory. Therefore, Google should support moving the Apps to SD card.

I know is just a noob question but does gmail app support push email.?

I have never used android so am just wondering if the official gmail app support push messages?
anyone can confirm this to me?
