Google posts Android 4.2.2 factory images for Nexus devices

After beginning the Android 4.2.2 OTA roll-out for all the Nexus devices, Google has now posted the factory images too on its developer website.  Factory images are the best way to return to the stock software from a custom ROM.

If you cannot wait for the OTA, you can also use the factory images to update your Nexus smartphone or tablet to reach the latest Android version, however if you are not cautious, you can lose all your data.

Flashing a factory image is a fairly easy process, but it needs an unlocked bootloader. You can perform the whole processor easily with the help of Nexus toolkit, which can be downloaded from here.

The Android 4.2.2 bring performance and stability improvements along with tweaks to Quick Settings, new system sounds, and more.
