Asus officially unveils Memo Pad Smart for $299

Just a day after we reported about the availability of Asus Memo Pad Smart in Thailand, company has now officially unveiled it.  Priced at USD 299, the tablet will be available in the coming days; however Asus has not revealed an exact availability date.

Part of company’s Memo Pad range, the tablet will join company’s earlier launched 7-inch Memo Pad. Smart features a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS display, Android 4.1, and NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Asus has revealed that it is also introducing a new accessory called Folio Key with Memo Pad Smart. Folio Key is an optional wrap-around protective cover for the MeMO Pad Smart that also incorporates a Bluetooth keyboard. There is no word on the pricing of Folio Key.

“Pronounced “meemo”, MeMO stands for “My Mobile. My Moment” and reflects the position of ASUS MeMO Pad as a tablet for people on the go,” Asus noted in a press release.

Company is also pre-loaded quite a few new apps on the tablet, which were last seen in 7-inch Memo Pad like SuperNote Lite, WebStorage Office, App Locker and App Backup.
