Dubbed as ME371MG, it will be the first Android tablet to run on Intel chip. Some rumours also suggest that the tablet might be branded as FonePad by Asus, although there has been no official confirmation so far.
According to tablet.bg, this tablet will come with an aluminium body similar to iPad and will have the support for voice-calling. It will also feature the Intel Z2420 processor, which was last seen in XOLO X500 or Safaricom Yolo smartphone.
Other rumours specs of the Asus FonePad include PowerVR SGX540 GPU, 7-inch IPS display with 1280x800p resolution, 1GB RAM, 3MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, microSD card slot, 4270 mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
It is expected to go on sale in second quarter of this year. There is no word on the pricing, but we suspect it would be around USD 250, higher than Asus Memo Pad.
