Looks like the Asus’ partnership with Intel for its Android tablets wasn’t just limited to Fonepad, the Taiwanese company is now working on another tablet with Intel at the core. Dubbed as Asus ME302C, the tablet was spotted on GFXBench site.
This does not seem like a budget offering similar to Fonepad, but a high-end device packing a full HD display and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. The exact processor is not mentioned in the listing and it just says x86, but the combination of 1.6GHz x86 CPU and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU only suggest one processor – Intel Atom Z2560.
The GFXBench listing also reveals that tablet is running on Android 4.2.2 and come with the Eee Pad branding.
This is first time we are hearing about Asus ME302C, so no details about the availability or pricing are known right now. It might be released as another Transformer model with option keyboard dock support, but that is just speculation.
