LG recommends that you back-up all your phone data before performing this update.
There is no change-log available right now, but you can expect the update to bring the usual ICS goodies like better multi-tasking, folder support, UI improvements, better performance as well as LG’s Quick Memo app.
The smartphone, which was originally launched in 2011 with Android 2.2, has already got the Gingerbread update in Jan 2012 and it is the second major update for this smartphone.
Update Android version: Android 4.0.4
Such a delayed update for Optimus Black shows that LG needs to get its act together in terms of software updates. The company might have seen some positives in revenues, but it still has a long way to go before things better for it and it does not really want frustrated consumers. We hope the owners of current crop of LG smartphones do not have to wait this longer.
PS: As the software updates are rolled-out in batches, do not get impatient if you don’t get the update right-away.

ITS QUIET UNBELIEVABLE TO HEARD THAT “LG IS UPDATING SOMETHING” AND “VERY EARLY”
I was having this model and i used it for nearly 1 year in GB, as Design and Specs wise it was good but i sold it, there was a single issue of this mobile is that it is LG’s Mobile. One of the worst Software Update provider in the world.
