Acer Iconia B1 confirmed, detailed on Acer website

We have been hearing about Acer’s low-cost Android tablet Iconia B1 for the last many days.  Now, we have the much-needed confirmation about the tablet directly from Acer. The tablet was spotted on company’s official website today, Acer later removed the product page, but it is still visible in Google cache.

Today’s leak also confirms the previously rumoured specifications of the device. Expected to be priced around $99, the Acer Iconia B1 was first spotted on FCC followed by a Serbian forum and a benchmarking website. Wall Street Journal also published a report about the tab further cementing Acer’s plans to deep dive in the entry-level Android tablet.

Targeted to emerging markets, Acer Iconia B1 will come with 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Jelly Bean, 7-inch 1024x600p display, 512MB RAM, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

A recent report also suggested the Acer Iconia B1 will launch in India later this month for INR 7,999.

Now, all we need is an official announcement from Taiwanese manufacturer at CES and final availability details.

Earlier post had mentioned “Cellular Connectivity”.
Now I dont see that anywhere, was it part of official website page feature list?
