Sony has announced the tentative time table for the roll-out of Android 4.1 update for some of its 2012 Xperia devices today. While, some users will be happy to know about the schedule, there is disappointing news for Xperia U, miro, sola and tipo users, as these phones will remain on Android 4.0 for rest of their lives.

Sony revealed that Xperia T, Xperia TX, and Xperia V will be first to get the update, which will begin in February/ March 2013. These phones will be followed by Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go that will get the update beginning March-end 2013.

The Sony Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will be last to get the Jelly Bean update that will reach the devices after Xperia P, J and go, but company has not given a clear time schedule for these.

“We’re particularly excited about the Sony Xperia Jelly Bean features and functionality – we look forward to bringing you more information on this in the New Year. The decision has been taken not to upgrade Xperia U, Xperia miro, Xperia tipo, and Xperia sola beyond Android 4.0,” stated the company on official blog.
