Sony’s global PR team has tweeted that Jelly Bean update for at least six Xperia phones is in final stage and more information will be released very soon. These Xperia smartphones are Xperia P, Xperia Go, Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia Ion, and Xperia acro S.
Sony has already released Android 4.1 update for phones like Xperia T, V, J, and TX phones. Other phones like Xperia sola, Xperia U will not be receiving the Jelly Bean update, as already announced by the company.
So, with this upcoming wave of software updates, Sony would most probably complete its roll-out of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Xperia smartphones.
Although slightly late, Sony is getting better at providing software updates for its smartphones. We hope it releases Android 4.2 update for Xperia phones, however not many changes are expected in 4.2 apart from Photo Sphere, lock-screen widget and UI changes.
