LG seems to working on the successor to company’s recently launched Optimus G, which will be released next year with a 5.5-inch full HD display. The smartphone that will be dubbed as Optimus G2, might be launched before Samsung’s rumoured Galaxy S IV.

Korean manufacturer is not having a great time and is even losing the smartphone battle at home at the hands of rival company Samsung. Thus, LG is leaving no stone unturned to bring a blockbuster device.

LG’s Optimus G

LG Optimus G2 with a 5.5-inch display seems more like a Note series competitor than Galaxy S series and we will have to look at the final device to see how LG places it in the market.

The details are a little sketchy right now, but we can expect quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 32/64GB internal storage, 8/12MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and over-2500 mAh battery.
