Google Maps Navigation coming to Singapore soon: Report

Advertisements

After introducing free turn-by-turn navigation in nine Asian countries in September, Google now seems to be planning to add Singapore soon to the supported countries.

According to a report in Straits Times, Google has confirmed that Google Maps Navigation is indeed coming to Singapore, but did not confirm the exact release date.

The publication had earlier spotted the names of Singapore and Hong Kong in the supported countries list, which seems to have been removed now.

Free turn-by-turn Google navigation is an Android exclusive and a great app from the search giant. Google Maps Navigation however won’t be the first free navigation service in Singapore, which has already got one Nokia.

Google Maps Navigation (Beta) is free and accessible to any smartphone user running Android 2.2 or later. We will let you know as and when it lands in Singapore.
