LG’s 5-inch Galaxy Note II competitor Optimus Vu is now available in Malaysia. The smartphone went on sale today for RM1,899 in the country.

Originally showcased at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the smartphone was re-launched in August with better specs.

Powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, the smartphone features 1GB RAM, 5-inch 1024x768p display, 8MP rear camera and 32GB of internal storage.

The smartphone also comes with a Rubberdium pen to help take you notes on the device. LG Optimus Vu runs on Android 4.0.4 and packs a 2,080mAh battery.  On the connectivity front, you will get 3G (HSPA+21 Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, DLNA, NFC, and aGPS.

Available in black and white colour options, the smartphone has already got a successor in South Korea but there is no word when Vu II will reach Malaysia.
