Huawei announces Honor 2 with quad-core processor, 4.5-inch IPS HD display

Huawei has announced the launch of the successor to Huawei Honor in the form of Honor II smartphone. Priced at 1,888 Yuan (INR 16,400), the Honor 2 will go on sale starting November 4 in China.

The smartphone features 4.5-inch IPS 1280x720p display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB of internal storage.

Just 10.5mm thick, Honor 2 comes with an 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, Android 4.0 and 2230 mAh battery.

Huawei Honor 2 improves in a lot of aspects over the original, which featured Android 2.3.5, 1900mAh battery, 1.4 GHz processor, 4.0-inch FWVGA capacitive display, 8MP camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 512M RAM and 4GB internal storage.

There is no word on the launch of Honor 2 in other countries include India. The original Huawei Honor currently retails in India for INR 18,500.
