Swipe Telecom launches dual-SIM Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in India

Advertisements

It was just waiting to happen, and now US-based Swipe Telecom has done it. The company has launched a dual-SIM Android tablet in India. This dial-SIM Android tablet is dubbed as Swipe Tab All-in-One and will be available in the country for INR 11,999.

While, we understand the use of dual-SIM in smartphones, there is not really any major use of having two SIM cards in a tablet. You can still find a few use-cases, but those will be for a very niche market. But after-all, it does not really hurt having an extra SIM card slot.

Powered by Android 4.0.3, the Swipe Tab All-in-One comes with 7-inch display with 1028x768p resolution, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G connectivity, 2MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera. The tablet also packs FM Radio, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, and 4,000 mAh battery.

The Swipe Tab All-in-One also comes pre-loaded with Olive Office Premium, e-book Reader, Audio Recording app and various games.

We are yet to get out hands on the tablet, but on-paper, it does seem very decent for a price tag of INR 12K.

Dear Anubhooti. I represent a US based tablet pc compnay. We have recently launched our product in idia, we would like to get one of our product reviewed by you. Kindly let us have your contact number so that we can discuss the same.

Donno why every company says its the first in the country to launch this tablet and that tablet pc when in reality others have already launched similar products. NXG Electronics has already launched a dual SIM tablet before 2 months, its called Xtab Duos. Again Iball says it has launched India’s first dual sim tablet. Do these companies think we are fools ? 🙂
