Samsung Galaxy Y getting minor software update

Advertisements

Samsung is rolling out a minor software update for its popular entry-level smartphone Galaxy Y right now. The software update is currently available over-the-air and brings stability improvements and enhances touch screen responsiveness.

The update takes to the device baseband version to S536ODDLF1 and the firmware version to S536ODDLF1.

You can manually check for the update by going to Settings>>about phone>>Software update. As most updates are released in stages, don’t worry if you don’t get the update right-away.

Samsung Galaxy Y currently runs on Gingerbread, and will not be getting Ice Cream Sandwich update, so all we can expect from Samsung is the stability and bug fixing updates.

Did you get the update, do let us know about your experience in the comments.
