Asus to launch Nexus 7 in Singapore tomorrow, denies $99 version rumours

After releasing Nexus 7 in Malaysia, Korea and Japan, Asus is going to launch Google Nexus 7 tablet in Singapore, making it the fourth Asian country in a row to get the device. According to a statement by the tablet maker, Nexus 7 will go on sale starting Saturday in the country.

Asus is only releasing the 16GB version of the tablet and it will retail for S$399 (USD324.7), which is around USD76 more than what US consumers pay for the tablet.

Google Nexus 7 features Android 4.1.1, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 7-inc h IPS HD display  and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Asus has already revealed that it will be launching Nexus 7 in India this November.

In other news, Asus has denied yesterday’s rumour suggesting that there is a $99 Nexus tablet in works. Earlier, Digitimes had reported that Google is going to launch two new variant of Nexus 7, of which one will be priced at just USD99.
