Micromax launches A90 Superfone Pixel, A100 Superfone Canvas

As we reported earlier, Micromax has announced the launch of two new Android smartphones in the country today. Dubbed as A90 and A100, these have been priced at INR 12,990 and INR 9,999 respectively.

Released at a press event in New Delhi earlier today, both the devices are now available in the country. According to the company, A90 and A100 come pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich aka Android 4.0 and AISHA voice assistant app.

  • 1600 mAh battery

Micromax A100 Superfone Canvas

  • 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) display
  • Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 1GHz processor
  • 5MP camera with LED flash
  • 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with MicroSD
  • 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS
  • 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio
  • 2000 mAh battery

The company plans to update both the smartphones to Jelly Bean sometime later quarter or early next quarter.

Is it confirmed that both the phones will be having “dual core” processors?
The official site doesn’t shed much light on processor details.
Also can you confirm if there is a front facing camera on A100? If yes, is it similar to A90 (0.3MP)?
