HTC has officially launched the recently leaked Desire C smartphone. It will go on sale starting this month in select European countries, with other regions will get it soon after.

The specifications are same as they were leaked yesterday – 3.5-inch HVGA display, 600MHz Qualcomm processor, 5MP camera and 512MB of RAM.

It will also come with Beats Audio integration, Android 4.0 and HTC Sense 4.0. There is no word on India launch right now.

“Listening to music is one of the most popular things people use their phones for, so it’s more important than ever that we deliver the power and emotion artists capture in the studio. The HTC Desire C offers customers excellent design, easy access to content and fast connectivity – making it the perfect all round device,” said Jason Mackenzie, President, Global Sales and Marketing for HTC Corporation.

HVGA? 3.5 inches? 600 mhz? And for much more money than the Huawei G300 which is far superior, and launching later in the same country? HTC must think consumers are idiots.

200 euros means ? 13700 INR…
And HTC Desire S now selling for INR 14.5 k in India…hehe..really funny…;P

wow! Getting the Desire S for 14.5k would be amazing. Can you post a link or something? Flipkart and Letsbuy show 20k. Thanks

14.5k? I need the link as well. Saholic is selling it for 15,990 which is the cheapest on any e-commerce store.
