Upcoming Asus Transformer Prime update will bring “awesome new features” with it

It’s always nice to hear about upcoming updates for Android devices, but this latest news is sure to leave a few people just as anxious as they are happy. Asus took to its Facebook page yesterday to warn tease owners of the Transformer Prime about an update that will soon be rolling out for the device.

Unfortunately, all we know as of now is that the updated firmware will include “awesome new features,” with no indication as to what those features may be. This makes me think of the exclusive S-Pen apps the Samsung Galaxy Note is said to be getting in its Ice Cream Sandwich update, though the TF201 has no stylus, so your guess is as good as mine here. Perhaps it’s the Face Unlock feature that everyone has been dying to get a taste of.

As Asus has never been known for letting its customers down, we have no reason to believe the new features will be anything less than awesome. Now, we’ll have to sit and wait for the update to start making its way around the globe, once it is released. Asus did not mention any time frame, but if the announcement has already been made on the company’s Facebook page, once can only assume it’s not far off.

We’ll be sure to let you know when the update drops. Stay tuned.
