Android leads the pack in comScore’s latest report

ComScore, the digital research firm, has just published its latest report on the US smartphone market share and Android has the largest pie with 48.6% market share, up 2.3%. This data has been obtained for the three month period- ending January. This comes as no surprise and shows that Android is still on the growth curve.

The report also reveals the individual OEM market share and Samsung is ranked as the top Smartphone manufacturer with 25.4% , followed by LG with 19.7 percent share and Motorola with 13.2 percent share. Samsung with its large array of Smartphones has really maintained an iron grip and surely gaining ground.

comScore report also mentions that the  number of U.S. smartphone subscribers surpassed the 100-million mark in January, up 13 percent since October to 101.3 million subscribers. The smartphone penetration is surely moving at a brisk pace and Android leads the pack.
