Advertisements

After officially announcing the unification of all content offerings under one roof Google Play yesterday, company has now started rolling out the tablet/phone based Play Shop client globally. The first devices getting the re-branded app are Galaxy Nexus, Xoom, Google TV and a few other smartphones.

This is no change in the app apart from the visual re-branding. If your Android device has got the new app, do let us know in comments.

i’ve got this, but the problem is that its showing apps only not music or other things mentioned

Same thing here… And yes no Google Media Content in India yet… Just go on a trip with your phone to some other country then you’ll get it.. Basically there’s no difference whatsoever from Market to Play Shop… My user experience seemed the same…

I have a Samsung Galaxy Y preloaded with Android 2.3.6 and I got it today. I was looking for market and couldnt find it.. and I stumbled upon PlayShop in my app drawer… but the name does sound lame…

I did receive the update early in the morning. The icon appears as Play Store in India as mine shows Play Store.

Good Move from Google on all those patent issue over Market,App Store, etc.. they call it Google Play..

i was wondering yesterday where the market icon has gone then suddenly saw the playshp icon..
