Asus launches Padfone, coming in April

After a lot of teasers and prototypes, Asus has finally launched Padfone today at Mobile World Congress. It will be available in the market starting April. Padfone is a combination of two devices – a phone and a tablet, which can further be transformed into a laptop using keyboard dock.

Asus Padfone (the phone part) features dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, Android 4.0, 1GB RAM, 16/32/64GB internal memory, 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, and 1520 mAh battery.

The Padfone Station (tablet part) will come with 10.1 inch 1280X800p display, 1.3MP front camera, Micro USB + Micro HDMI, and LED indicators. It is 13.65mm thick and weighs 724grams.

Company has also included a stylus headset with the Padfone, which works both as a stylus for tablet and a headset for making and receiving calls.

There is no word on the pricing of the device.
