Telstra to start selling HTC Velocity 4G

In another 8-9 hours, Australian telecom operator Telstra will start selling its first LTE Android smartphone Velocity 4G. On pre-order till now, Velocity 4G will be available at company and partner stores on various plans starting A$69 per month (more plans below).

HTC Velocity 4G features 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1.5GHz dual core processor, 4.5 inch qHD display, Android 2.3.4 with Sense 3.5, 8MP rear camera, and 1.3MP front camera, 1GB RAM, and the usual connectivity options.

Telstra had also stated at the launch event that it will release the ICS update for the phone next month or so, and it is currently in development, reported Ausdroid.

For those of you don’t know, Telstra’s 4G coverage is available in Australia’s eight capital city CBDs (meaning within 5km from the GPO) plus more than 80 regional and metropolitan centres (meaning 3km from the regional town centre).
