Asus has put a full stop on the recent reports talking about the upcoming launch of 3G Transformer Prime and had citied a press briefing in Taipei as the source. Company has said that these reports are erroneous and “no such product exists on its current roadmap,” posted Focus Taiwan News Channel.

Company had earlier stated via its German Facebook page that it had no plans to release a 3G variant of its quad core tablet Transformer Prime, but a recent report from netbooknews revealed that company had changed its stand and will bring the 3G version with improved casing next month. But now, Asus has come forward to quash this report and deny the existence of any such product. Company however added that it will continue to bring 3G variants for other tablets in its portfolio.

So after all, Asus is not going to launch a 3G Transformer Prime and if you were waiting for one – better start looking for other choices.
