Asus Eee Pad Transformer getting firmware update, brings HDMI fix, updated apps

Asus is rolling out an OTA firmware update for original Transformer users in US, UK, Taiwan, Germany and tablets with generic WW SKU.  This update includes HDMI fix for new HDTVs, updated applications, bring stability and input lag reduction.

Build number of this update is 8.6.5.21-20111216. The roll-out is said to have started day before yesterday, and is happening in phases. So, if you have-not already got the update, it will be heading your way pretty soon.

There is no Android version update, and we suspect it might be the last firmware update Transformer users are going to see before they get lucky with ICS update.
