A fresh set of rumors are hinting towards a strategy change in HTC’s camp about a rough 2011. Instead of launching a truckload of Android phones, company will be focusing on fewer devices, reported BGR.

According to the blog, HTC Elite is going to be one of these few devices that will make its debut next year. It is expected to feature Android 4.0, Beats Audio integration and will be company flagship for 1H, 2012. There are no details on other specifications, but we would not be surprised to see a quad core processor inside. It is scheduled to be launched around April first or second week.

It is also rumored that Elite might be launched on AT&T in United States as HTC Congressional.
