Samsung Galaxy SL getting Android 2.3.6 update in India; fixes WiFi bug

Advertisements

Reports are coming in that Samsung India has started rolling out a fresh Android 2.3.6 update for Galaxy SL I9003 users in the country. This update fixes the WiFi issues that arose because of the recent Android 2.3.5 update for the device.

There is no official update change-log available, but it seems there aren’t many changes in this update. Users are still reporting problems with video chats on Galaxy SL.

If you have already got the update then let us know about the experience so far, or fire up Samsung Kies and update your device now.

Thanks Kanishk

They are saying tht update is on its way past 2 months…other countries are receving 2.3.6 n 2.3.7..! India will get 4.0 in august end…read it on sme site…n till tht tym 4.1 will also b out..!! Why the hell is samsung treating its customers in india like this..! Really disappointed..!

upgraded to gingerbread 2.3.6 yesterday and wifi bug is still pretty much there, though the wifi appears to be a little more stable than before and this problem still persists even after 2 factory data resets!!

i havent faced any wifi issues with 2.3.5

have updated to 2.3.6, and there doesnt seem to be any difference, atleast at first glance….
