Ice Cream Sandwich source code released

Advertisements

Google has released the Android 4.0 source code, and it now available in AOSP. Two days back, we reported that Google was planning to do so on Thursday, but it seems company decided to pass on the goodies early.

Google has also announced this source code release also includes Honeycomb source code, but as the company has already stated several times that Honeycomb code was incomplete that’s why it did not release the source in the first place, so you won’t find any tags to identify Honeycomb releases specifically, but you can find the changes in the history.

We won’t be going to in to all the nitty-gritties, as this is only important for developers, and they can find the relevant information here, here and here.

PS: Work on CM9 has already begun 🙂
