Nexus S 4G becomes the first device get unofficial Android 4.0 port

Advertisements

With Ice Cream Sandwich SDK available, developers have already started tinkering with this version and a resourceful developer at Android Central forums has already ported it to his Nexus S 4G. As you would expect with the SDK ports, there are lots of bugs and they need to be ironed out.

Normally SDK ports never become full functional and that is why developers wait for the full source code to be released and then start their work on creating custom ROMs, but it is always fun to be the first to port a new Android build, and that is what this dev has done.

He has promised to release his ICS ROM for the adventurous users once it becomes usable.
