Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg announced at company’s third quarter earnings call that they have shipped 22 million Xperia phones so far. He also said that SE will be shifting its entire portfolio to smartphones during 2012, which means no feature phone launches next year.

The reason for the shift: Sony Ericsson’s 80 pc of sales now come from smartphones, so company thinks it’s wise to go all in.

As the company is only focusing on Android as its choice of OS, we will be seeing a lot more Android device in the year to come. Probably a few dual core Androids finally.
