Is B&N launching two color tablets this year?

While Amazon is getting ready to debut in the crowded tablet market, its competitor Barnes & Noble is planning to release its refresh of existing Nook Color along with a new Android tablet.

Nook Color refresh was being anticipated for a long time now, and is rumored to be released sometime this month and as September is nearing its completion, we expect to see an announcement in early October. It is rumored to features a 7 inch color display.

According to Digital Reader, this new upcoming tablet was spotted in a company presentation slide and goes by the code name ‘Acclaim’. It is expected to be priced at $349, which is higher than one would expect, but we hope to see some nice hardware in the device.
