Vodafone Australia to launch Xperia Ray later this month

Sony Ericsson has announced that Vodafone will be releasing Xperia Ray in Australia soon. The smartphone will start selling sometime later this month and the pricing details will be revealed closer to the launch date.

Sony Ericsson also stated that Xperia Ray will be the first smartphone in Australian market to support company’s video rental service. Xperia Ray buyers will be able to rent digital copies of over 9,000 titles from Australia movie distributors like Hopscotch and Madman to US based Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Universal, and Miramax.

This is not all company is also providing its music subscription service with the smartphone in the country. The plans start AU$4.99 per month.

Powered by Android 2.3, Xperia Ray comes with a 1GHz processor, 3.3 inch display, 8.1MP camera with front cam.
