If thirteen tablets from Lakshmi Access Communications Systems (LACS) weren’t enough for you, company is planning to launch a smartphone as well. Bangalore-based LACS will introduce Android powered Magnum Mirchi 5 next month in the country. It is expected to be priced at INR 19,999.

Sporting a large five inch display, this Dell Streak like device will come with a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, Android 2.3, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of internal memory, 5MP primary camera, VGA secondary camera, and 800X480 resolution display.

Though Magnum Mirchi 5 does seem to be a decent phone on paper, the actual performance would only be known after the launch.

Other features of the smartphone:

  • HSPA connectivity
  • aGPS
  • Accelerometer, eCompass, Light sensor
  • Mini HDMI, USB 2.0 HS
  • 3.5 mm headset jack
  • FM Radio
  • WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1
