Samsung and Apple today reached on an agreement in Australia as a part of the ongoing patent dispute between the companies. According to the accord, Samsung has agreed not to advertise or sell the device in Australia until wins court approval or the lawsuit is resolved.

This is certainly a big setback for Samsung, and we might see similar agreements in more countries soon. The agreement further states that if Apple loses its patent infringement lawsuit, it will pay Samsung damages of an unknown amount.

Apple has alleged that Samsung infringes 10 of Apple patents, which include the “look and feel,” and touchscreen technology of the iPad.

Sydney Federal Court has set a date August 29 to review the case and set a trial date if deemed necessary.
