South Africa today became the first country to see the launch of much delayed Asus Eee Pad Slider. Company has priced it at R5,999 [USD 890] but did not give the exact availability date of the tablet.

Eee Pad Slider comes powered by Android 3.1, but company has promised to roll out Android 3.2 update soon over-the-air. Other features include a slide-out keyboard, 1 GHz dual core nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 10.1inch IPS display, 5MP rear-facing camera, and 1.2MP front-facing camera.
