One of victims of this failure was Logitech, which was the launch partner of Google TV. Company today released the first quarter results took a hit of $34 million for the planned Q2 price drop for Revue. Company is going to slash the price of Revue to just USD 99.
It is taking the measure to accelerate the adoption of the Google TV platform by removing price as a barrier to consumer acceptance. According to company, sales of Logitech Revue were slightly negative during the quarter, as returns of the product were higher than the very modest sales.
