According to the latest report from Neilson, the percentage of Android phone buyers in recent device purchases has become stagnant this year.  27 pc of recent smartphone buyers were purchasing an Android phone in the end of 2010, but recently few months have shown no growth in that number.

While, Android continues to be the most popular smartphone operating system, with 38 percent of smartphone consumers owning Android devices, this no growth might be cause of worry for device manufacturers.

However, these numbers are indicative of only United States, but the real growth for Android is now coming from Asia, where budget Android smartphone as well as high end have caught the fancy of new smartphone buyers.
