$99 Huawei Ideos X1 launched in Australia on Optus

Looking a budget Android smartphone in Australia – Well, Optus will start selling Huawei Ideos X1 from July 1 for just $99. This Huawei phone comes with Android 2.2, 2.8 inch display, and 3.2 MP camera.

Direct competitor to Telstra’s Smart-Touch, Ideos X1 features a 528 MHz processor and weighs just 100 grams.

“The IDEOS X1 is the perfect choice for consumers wanting a smartphone that gives them quick and easy access to all the apps they love, without draining their wallets,” said Huawei’s head of marketing, Mark Treadwell.
