Indian mobile phone market grows 15pc in 2010-11

Indian mobile phone market is growing like anything these days, and it increased its size by 15 pc in the last financial year 2010-11. According to an annual study V&D 100 by telecom industry journal Voice&Data mobile phone market in India is now INR 33,171 crore revenue-wise.

Samsung and Nokia have come out as the top earners last year, with Samsung clearly gaining from it Galaxy series of Android smartphones as well as Bada phones.
