Oracle wants $6.1 bn in Android lawsuit

Advertisements

:O, Yes that’s the figure Oracle wants Google to pay for alleged Java patent infringements in Android.  According to a court filing, Oracle is seeking between USD 1.4 billion and USD 6.1 billion in this lawsuit.

Oracle had sued Google last year regarding this issue and the recent court order made Google to make these parts of damage claims public.

According to Google, “this is a breathtaking figure that is out of proportion to any meaningful measure of the intellectual property at issue.”
