Huawei India to launch MediaPad in next quarter

Huawei India Marketing director Anand Narang has stated that company will soon launch two Android tablets in Indian market. These tablets include the upcoming Huawei flagship MediaPad and Ideos S7 Slim, which was launched at Mobile World Congress earlier this year.

Disclosing the expected pricing of both the tablets, Narang said that flagship model MediaPad will priced somewhere in the range of INR 25K, while other tablet [read S7 Slim] under INR 20,000.

MediaPad: Huawei is going to announce Honeycomb powered MediaPad at Singapore on Monday, June 20. According to the leaked specs, it is expected to have a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, 7 inch display, Android 3.1, and 5MP rear camera.

On the other hand, Ideos S7 Slim was announced at MWC and it features 7-inch capacitive display, , Android 2.2, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and HD video (720p) playback support.

Huawei has also announced that its Bangalore center is going to develop India specific apps, which will come pre-installed on these tablets.
