Eric Schmidt to go on Android Asia promotion tour

Android is already getting hugely popular in Asia, but it seems that is not enough for Google, so the company chairman Eric Schmidt himself is planning to promote it in the continent. According to a report in Taiwanese publication CENS, Eric will be on an Asia tour which includes Taiwan in the second half of this year.

He will be visiting Asian Android partners, clients to promote Android in person. He is expected to meet reps from HTC, Asus and other firms that are helping Google in building this whole eco-system.

There is no word right now on his other trip details; we are hoping to hear something soon. May be he will even land in India to encourage few local brands.
