We all know that Japanese love Clamshell devices more than anyone else, so this was just waiting to happen. Sharp has launched world’s first flip phone with Softbank in Japan. Dubbed as AQUOS Phone “The Hybrid 007SH”, it comes with IPX5/IPX7 Waterproof body, 16.10 MP camera, 3.4 inch WVGA 3D display, 720p video recording mode, 3D Photo and Video Mode, AQUOS TV connector Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and Android 2.3.
Serious a lot in that flip phone, and it will help more Japanese to adopt Android and smartphone technology. Due to the interest in clamshell devices, Japanese don’t go for smartphones that much and with this option from Sharp, we might see a jump in smartphone numbers in the country.
