Days after Apple filed patent infringement suit against Samsung in United States, Samsung has gone ahead and counter-sued the company in three countries Germany, Korea and Japan.

Samsung today announced that it has filed patent lawsuits against Apple, which include infringement of its five patents. “Samsung is responding actively to the legal action taken against us in order to protect our intellectual property and to ensure our continued innovation and growth in the mobile communications business,” company said in a statement.

Earlier Apple has filed cases alleging that Samsung Galaxy S smartphone and Galaxy Tabs are blatant copies of its i-products.
