After suing Samsung and Motorola for slide-to-unlock in two different German courts, company has filed a new complaint against Galaxy Nexus for the same patent yesterday in Germany. According to Apple, Samsung infringes its slide-to-unlock patent in Galaxy Nexus.
This lawsuit is even more significant for that fact that Galaxy Nexus is a pure Google device and a reference smartphone, in which Samsung has almost no-role with the software part. It is almost a direct attack towards Google.
Mannheim Regional Court, in which this lawsuit has been filed, will pronounce some kind of decision on March 16, 2012 in the case.

It’s a surprise Apple doesn’t have patents on the way to hold the phone, the way to speak, the way to accept or cancel a call by touching a button, etc. All these patents and Apples actions using them proves that they are at their wit’s end and are unable to bring up anything great for their phones.
Ridiculous patent. How different is it from say dragging your mouse across the screen and an associated event with it? This kind of patent application should be rejected for its obviousness. Patents are ought to be given only for truly novel inventions. USPTO is simply clueless.
Surely, there must be prior art for this kind of on screen gesture and associated action.
Other manufacturers have patents for 3g bandwidth frequencies, they don’t do anything stupid like this but this money greedy cupertino based company doing all sorts of stupid things. I hate Apple Inc., for this
