Philip just updated its Android based portable music player GoGear Connect. Running on Android 2.3 ‘Gingerbread’ this PMP comes with full suite of Google Apps as well as Android Market.

Android powered GoGear Connect was first launched in August last year at IFA, and it was running on Android 2.1 back then, but company has updated it with Gingerbread and has done a full design revamp.

Company has priced it at USD 179.99 for 8GB version, which is pretty decent. Philips is adding its own sound-isolating earphones, and FullSound audio enhancement in the device. Other features of Connect include 3.2 inch display with 720p HD video playback, and WiFi.

GoGear Connect will start selling in September.  Anyone going for it?
