Lenovo has said that company is counting on Android powered LePhone and LePad to stop the expansion of Apple in China. Lenovo launched LePhone in May last year, while LePad will arrive before the end of this quarter.

“We have an extreme focus on the innovation of LePad and LePhone because these products will dominate the future market,” Chairman Liu Chuanzhi said in an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos yesterday.  Lenovo, which gets half of its sales in China, is facing serious competition from Apple in the country.

Analysts however believe that absence of Android Market from LePad may become a death knell for it. As it runs a modified version of Android. Well, a lot will become clear after the launch of LePad.
