Chinese Computer maker Lenovo is planning to launch its tablet LePad next year in USA. It will be first launched in China and then to other markets.

There is no official information on Android’s presence on the tablet, but earlier leaks have suggested it to be based on Android, which is soon becoming the OS of choice for many manufacturers other than Apple, RIM and HP, who are making tablets on their own operating systems.

Lenovo also announced a 100 million yuan (US$15.1 million) investment program to support developers of mobile Internet applications and services as the firm looks to expand its application download store, which will work with the LePad, reported WSJ.

Company is also planning to put Google Chrome OS on some of the devices; it would be interesting to see it on a tablet from Lenovo.
