If we believe a report on Techcrunch, that a simple problem of possible similarity between FroYo and Ice Cream statues in Google lawns, led to the code name change of the Android’s next release.

We knew for last some time that the Android version after Honeycomb will be called Ice Cream, but this report says that Android boss Andy Rubin slipped sometime before that new version would rather be called Ice Cream Sandwich.

We really do not care much about how the search engine giant calls it. What matters that most if the features, and its updates on existing devices.  Market is still waiting for Gingerbread/FroYo updates, while Honeycomb is almost here. What will happen when Ice Cream Sandwich arrives?
